The story so far

priceiswong is a personal book review blog and BookTube channel run by Jessica Tamm, built around a simple idea: never underestimate the power of tea and a good book.

Here you'll find reviews sorted by title, author, year, rating, and series, plus video discussions, giveaways, and a few beauty side notes. The reading community is at the heart of it all.

Never underestimate the power of tea & a good book.

Reading communities thrive when there is a shared ritual at the center, and for many book lovers that ritual is a warm cup of tea paired with a well-loved story. A quiet moment with a novel can feel like a small act of resistance against the rush of everyday life, offering space to slow down, reflect, and slip into someone else's world for a while. Combining the comfort of a familiar brew with the adventure of turning pages turns a simple afternoon into a meaningful pause worth protecting.

Book blogging and booktube channels have reshaped the way readers share their enthusiasm, moving the conversation about stories well beyond the back cover. Reviewers sort their thoughts by genre, rating, and series order, helping curious readers decide what to pick up next, while video discussions bring characters and plots to life through tone, expression, and conversation. Giveaways add a small spark of excitement, and side notes about everyday comforts keep the experience personal and inviting, turning a one-way recommendation into a lively exchange among friends.

Curating a personal library is as much about feeling as it is about plot, since a beloved book often carries the memory of where and when it was first read. Readers return to favorite series for the comfort of familiar voices, while new releases offer the thrill of fresh worlds waiting to be explored. Building a reading life around tea, thoughtful reviews, and honest discussion creates a steady rhythm of discovery, encouraging slow savoring rather than rushed consumption, and inviting every reader to find their own next unforgettable story.
